Ps: I see a picture of you Edward in the August edition of RC Magazine. Page 74. Is that you?
I don't know... I don't have the magazine on hand. Could you take a picture for me?

Does someone know if the black YRF (f1) rear pod will fit on the R12?
Will there be a ride height issue?

Thanks!

Second time! Wow, I never expected that. However, the article is promoting my friends touring car and off road setup program.

As for the YRF pod, I'm not sure, but I'll check later tonight.

The R12 series will accept an Associated front end with no modifications.

Here's a picture with the C3 using the Associated front end.

Yokomo R12 C3.1 at the worlds via redrc

prototype rear pod fitted and rear rim spoke tuning to find rear grip

Chassis – Yokomo R12 C3.1
Motor – Yokomo RP 3.5T
ESC – Yokomo BL Pro 3
Battery – Yokomo 6900mAh
Tires – Yokomo
Radio/Servos – Sanwa
Body – Protoform AMR 12

Remarks – 3-time back to back World Champion Naoto Matsukura is running this R12 C3.1 with a prototype rear pod. The new rear end is stronger, lighter and has a lower centre of gravity than the part that comes with the standard C3.1 and moves the centre shock more forward, these parts developed specifically for this event. Availability has not been decided on but it may be released as an option for the car in the future. In terms of setup they were running their basic setup from Japan with just a softer front spring which they believe now may have been quick for qualifying but perhaps not the best option for the final. The Yokomo team were also cutting the ribs from their rear rims in order to make them softer which helps with traction.

The newer C3.1 prototype parts look sick. However, this wasn't the best idea to try them out. IMO I think he would of had a better chance with the original rear setup. Thus why he was the three time world champion.

His first world championship was with an Associated 12R5

That rear pod looks awesome!!

Does anyone know what the CRT Yokomo tires are? What shore is each compound, and if they are synthetic or natural? And how they would cross over to CRC tires?

TKO has enlisted Edward Pickering (on right) as our agent/representative in Japan. Edward will assist in testing and race with TKO products in his Yokomo R12C3.1.

Edward will also introduce TKO to the market there and look for exciting products for us to bring to you.
