I am hoping you guys can answer a few questions for me.
I tried to flip through this thread to see if I could find my answers, but I didnt see what I am after.

I have the castle field link, after reading all the instructions and connecting my MMP to my computer, I picked the the software version v1.26 per the ROAR approved ESC list.
I then selected forward w/o reverse.

I have no idea what else to change so I uploaded those settings to the MMP.

After Calibrating my 3PKS per the instructions, I found the ESC continues to be in reverse mode. I pulled throttle, motor spins correctly, hit the brakes, get brakes, but when I return to neutral, then back to brakes I get reverse. Which would suggest I am in the reverse lock out setting.
So I connected my field link to the MMP with out my computer. Set the red LED to forward only then turn off switch, plug back into my RX and find I still have reverse. I attempted this several times but still cant get it out of reverse mode.
Am I not saving the change properly?

Also, what settings should I be looking at for the 17.5 class rubber tire on carpet TC?
Any one have any suggestions?
I don't know if it is just some of the field link cards or what but I have seen the same thing with a buddy of mine. He has a field link that works great with one controller and the other will reset it to factory defaults every time its plugged in. I would go back to using just the computer to update the controller. As for settings with no timing here is what I would try.
Change the controller to sensored only mode.
Run start power on high
Drag brake 30%
Brake 100%
Punch control Off

Then I would start with a FDR of 4.0 and depending on your track you might need to go down to 3.6 or up to 4.2. I would ask around to see what others are running.

Thanks for the setup tips, I will try those settings if I can ever get this field link issue figured out.
You mentioned just using the computer to set up the speedo, but how do I connect to the controller without the field link acting as a connection adapter. I dont remember seeing a micro USB socket on the speedo when I installed it. But I could be wrong.

If you're using the 3PK, you have to set the throttle to "reverse" and then do the set up again. Don't know why but with the Mamba, it's a must.

What I was describe as just using your computer, means using the feild card as a link, but just not by itself with the controller. From what I have seen this is the only problem. Using it as a the computer link seems to function as expected.

Using just the computer seems to have worked perfect.

Thank you.

Did you try and call Castle to let them know your interested in an update? Unfortunately, Castle doesn't troll the forums but their customer service is very good.

Castle Creations replied with the following after I emailed them :

"The last versions of the Castle Creations software add a top speed limiter and torque control. These are of most use with Castle Creations motors to control their torque and speed. With sensored motors the ESC is tunable to provide what other companies call whatever they mean by boost functions. Obviously, there is no “turbo” or ”supercharger” boost with an electric motor. These are just terms to specific extremely height timing advance."

Maybe Castle Creations must also change the wording from "CHEAT Mode" to "turbo" or Supercharger" then the Mamba will be just as fast.....Lol

Hi guys:
A friend of mine put the MMP 1s in his RC10R5 World gt with a 13.5 lrp not sure which one.
As for track size I'm guessing 100L x 40W. I know it's impossible to figure out from this, but........

Can anyone give us a starting point for fdr and cheat on?
I have tekins so I can shoot from there to get him in the zone, just never played with an MMP before.

Thanks.
