Thanks, Oleg as well for the clarification. In fact, looking thoroughly at the Awesomatix site for that AM18-ish thing but to no avail. That's why.

Cheers!

I have a question . I have read every single post about this car and I have to say I am very impressed .

Im in the uk and race on asphalt and some bumpy surfaces if im honest. I suppose my question is this. As this car doesnt have conventional shocks how well will it deal with bunps and what would be best chassis for my needs 17.5 blinky. Most people at my track run xray or yokomo. I currently run tc6 and im 6th fastest round . I want to be different and not follow the in crowd but need to know if it works on bumpy asphalt tracks as I notice most of tracks with video footage are smooth or indoor.

Hope someone can help as I plan on splashinh out later this year

As much as the videos you see illustrate nice tracks and running surfaces we are also as much of weekend warriors that race on temporary asphalt parking lot tracks. Normally these tracks are bumping, not thoroughly prepped and expectations are lets run what we have to run on.

From Jake Danilchik (running in the Seattle/WA area at FantasyWorld Hobbies), Kyle Bergstrom (Arizona), Mike Slaughter (Midwest) and Mike Gee/Mike Hanulec (East Coast) - we all run normal club events that are on some of the most challenging surfaces. Some of the guys in San Francisco -Aaron Young and Austin Brumblay have better access to nicer venues.

There isnt a surface that we dont race on with the exception of basketball court

One advantage that you will have is near-infinite adjustment in adding things like rear toe and other settings directly on the car to compensate for the track surface without as much needing extra toe blocks, caster blocks and shocks.

I would suggest getting some of the #3 dampeners and soft springs. These additional items will give you the most options for tuning spring rate and dampening without carting a lot of extra shock parts/springs that more conventional cars use.

There are already a number of setups - some of which come from the European drivers that will get you running quickly on the harsher surfaces.

Suggest the LX model with #3 dampners and soft springs.

This past weekend Mike Slaughter won the 17.5t class in the first leg of the Asphalt Assassin series. This was a bumpy track in overcast cold conditions. Sounds just like the bumpy UK track

hello, i found a spur that perfect fits the new spur damper, its a Acorn spor, you just need to make the holes wider, i do it with a body reamer.
you can see it in the picture at the next post.

thanks

Christian
