if you want simple the rc10gt is great, tried and true. the rtr is under 300 im pretty sure

but hpi is good stuff too, im sure you'll be happy either way. good luck with ur purchase

Ah that would be this fella http://www.teamassociated.com/cars_and_trucks/GT2/RTR/. I've heard great things about that kit too. However, I don't think I would recommend it over the HPI Firestorm, simply because it does not come with a 2.4 GHz spread spektrum radio, whereas the HPI does. The GT2 also does not come with as many accessories as the Firestorm (fuel bottle and glowplug igniter), which becomes more added cost. It's simply not as good a bang for your buck.

Default Hyper 7 TQ Black RTR

Get the Hyper 7 TQ Black. Its super strong plus it is a much more raceable platform. And the parts also are easily available and very cheap.

You can get it on ebay for as cheap as $289.
