ok never mind i just seen some piks of it..and from the piks im about 90% sure the speed crank will fit if so this will tame it some on the bottom for a smoother rpm range...and i have a speed crank in my vspec and thats wat it does to it...so when i get this motor that cranks going in here for testing

that would be a great plan especially since the jx has a better block. very interested in the results

Pretty sure you have to use the Speed Con Rod as well. Oiling holes are different or something.

Not on the ninja. It uses the same rod as the speed. You can't use a speed crankshaft with a normal v-spec rod.

There no issues with a Speed crank in a JX21. I currently have this setup. Same power just smoother delivery like the Speed. Currently, the Speed rods look just like the JX21. My last rod from Japan didn't have the high finish polish the first ones. Works fine though.

Yeah I read somewhere that the only difference between the rods, is that the speed rods are polished.

Actually, I left that info off my last post. My last Speed rod didn't have the polish finish. It pretty much was the same as the JX21 rod. The Speed rod I got a few weeks prior to that one was polished though. Most likely the ones still in stock in the US will be the polished ones.

I really don't see the need for polishing them so that seems logical to me. Why preform an unneeded step.
