There is an indoor dirt oval in Rochester called Teas (http://www.teashobbyshop.com/), and they also run outdoor off-road. In the cities their is MMR (http://www.molzermoweryracing.com/mmrdirect.html) and they have Wed & Sunday on-road carpet and Friday night carpet off-road, there is a on-road club out of Cottage Grove (carpet) and indoor dirt at FTR in Foley, MN (http://www.ftrcr.com/)

last I knew there were some guys who run at the BMX track when it's warm out, but in the winter I think Tea's is your closest bet

As far as I know, that BMX track is no more. I don't think there is any kind of racing or anything in town. Tea's would probably be the closest, but even that is almost two hours away. It's really lame that there isn't even a hobby shop here.

last time i check the bmx track had just moved out to the north end of town... they laid asphalt corners and everything so i think that it would still be there

I'm from Mankato also, my three kids and I have 3 SC10's and a T4.1, and we gotta go to Tea's if we wanna run them.

I live in town, but if someone in the country had some land, I would be more than happy to pitch in, rent a skid steer, and build a track. My dad used to be a drainage contractor, so I can get drain tile for the edges cheap as well.

With gas at $4 a gallon this summer, spending some of my money to help build a local track would probably cheaper for me.
