Yes, I use the Viper VTX8. It fits fine without any modifications, but after running it for a week or so, I decided to dremel off the front loop of the 8ight's battery tray to slide the ESC back a little bit from the front of the chassis.

I never use the long front to back battery strap, so I'd never need that loop for the velcro strap anyway.

The VTX provides problem-free operation, has never gotten even close to overheating and is super easy to program with the ProGauge or PC V-Link.

I'm currently programming the VTX8's Smart Brake System completely different than the suggested setup from the factory, which should produce a much more pronounced and smooth 'off trigger' two stage braking profile.

I'll be testing three different profiles this upcoming weekend along with the new VF8 21 motor.

I bought 2 of the three remaining packs and will try them out this weekend. As I'm learning to drive the 8ight, I don't spend nearly as much time 'practicing' as I did a couple months ago.

If I can a) get 12 minutes out of the 4500's; b) save six ounces of weight c) change the setup to accommodate the lower weight, it sounds like a great combination.

Check that esc wire in the front so its not rubbing on the steering rack post. Looks like its touching there.

Thought that is only for the nitro version. Isnt it to wide? I also saw the bittydesign and Sweep but they too are nitro versions

Anyone try the Proline Bulldog 2.0 ebuggy body? Does it fit?

2.0 bodies won't fit either, just same the as the nitro they are to wide.

That is a good idea. I will add that to my list of components I am making for Impact Performance Products. That would be an easy one. I may put dots on the piston for easy layout. Maybe 10 of them.

2.0 bodies fit they just don't hug the chassis tight. You do not need to modify them to run them though. If you want a body that fits snug to the chassis then you would need a 3.0 specific body as meationed more then a few times this car is much more narrow then the 2.0.

With very few options if any available body wise I'd still say the stock is the best choice. It does what its meant to do airflow wise.

If you velcro the sides of the 2.0's bodies they will fit, but I think it's about a inch gap on each side of the chassis.

Going with a metal spur as mine was wasted yesterday. Should I set the mesh the same way as a nylon spur? Does it need to be lubed?

You should be able to set it a little looser with the metal gear.
