I just picked up one of these kits and darn if it isn't missing parts. Went to build the shocks that were sealed in bags and found that I'm missing two of the blue alloy lower shock caps. Also missing one black plastic lower shock spring retainers. Pretty disappointing.

Steve, got your PM. If you haven't emailed EGR Mart yet, I can send you the missing shock parts from my new kit since I haven't touched them at all.

Pretty disappointed with Atomic, but I can email them myself. If I send out mines, it will be quicker than from overseas so you can get yours running sooner. Let me know what you want to do.

Sorry about that man! I should have at least opened the bag up to make sure all was in there instead of relying on their QC.

@dan

I have an extra lower spring retainer you can send to Steve. I'll bring it to the track this Sunday.

Dan,

Not your fault and no need to send parts. The shocks were sealed from the factory in the bag just as you indicated and there's no way the part could have fallen out or anything like that. Two shocks had them attached in the bag and two did not This is a quality control issue for Atomic and hopefully they respond to my messages.

If anyone has one stock black plastic lower spring retainer, I'll pay for the part and postage.

@SteveM

I'll be dropping off a spring retainer to Dan so he can send it to you and you can arrange postage with him. No need to pay me for the part.

All the frustrations nearly went away after running the car on the track....

The car has redeemed itself.....for now.

We used to have a pretty good sized 4wd mini class in MD. It's disappeared as of now.

people still have the cars, its that we have not found the proper speeds for the class. 3 yrs ago we ran them with 17.5 boosted (crazy!) interested racers were intimidated by the speed and breakage. last year we ran them as 13.5 blinky to slow the class down. ended up with roughly the same lap times.

A few racers have been talking 4wd mini again and silver can might be the answer.

I found out the MO3/M05 have a 3.134 internal ratio. I'm going to find out their FDR's with a 20 tooth pinion and just match it with my VM since that's the only mini class running right now.

**found it**
