You are thinking of the Mugen Super Sport...which won Mugen's first 1/8th buggy World Title back in 1990

Thats what i was thinking about... The car sat in my brothers garage for 5 years, never ran it before everything is still brand new. Just was a thought to me if I was going to get it running and break something how would i get the parts. Thanks again everyone!

Actually it is the second in the series that Mugen has released and not the first,

1. Mugen Sport
2. Mugen Super Sport (World Champ 1990, Thailand)
3. Mugen athelete
4. Mugen Super Athelete
5. Mugen MBX4
6. Mugen MBX4 RR

Yes, keep it as a vintage as they are relatively rare in good condition.

If I am not mistaken early mugen's were distibuted by hpi and that is why they are purple. BTW, that looks like an athlete to me.
