Positively nessesary! You will pull the tire off the rim without a good glue job. Be sure to get the tire seated on the bead of the rim good before glueing. Get a toothpick, hold the sidewall away from the rim and put a drop on it, letting it chase down one side. Wherever it stops, repeat, til you've made it all the way around. I use thin because it flows better

This is that new Vaughn Gittin Jr body for his drifter from HPI. Its on their website now. 69 Mustang with a sweet custom spoiler rear end. Assume it will be VTA legal? I imagine they will offer the body clear. If not, at least the RTR version.

That body comes that way in their new RTR-X drifter package. I'd have to think you can buy a replacement body just like it. Don't know if they will offer it in clear or not. Tamiya makes a "flat" spray that you can coat any body with on the outside to dull it. But, this looks different than that somehow. It looks like its almost got a texture.

I believe there is a fail safe in the ESC. Neither my edge or my GTB 2 do that.

I dont see HPI putting in all that money into the tooling for the mold and not releasing the shell independently of the car. They would lose out on Drifter and VTA racers.

The other thing that would be very dissapointing would be failure to make the USVTA accepted list. So everybody look at Robk and say pleeeeeeeeeeaaase.....

Last thing is that Im thinking the hood is actually smooth and that trumpet intake is molded plastic. Which isnt very VTAish. Certanly don't care for the green lights for my purposes.
