No, the site is not down.

I did move to a dedicated server today, but the site was down for less than a minute.

I spoke too soon. I'm on it.

If anybody is curious, here is my setup sheet from carpet nats in Omaha:

http://chrishillier.com/wp/wp-conten...ch_02_2014.pdf

No huge changes from what I have previously used, mainly just trying to get more grip out of the newer Sweeps. I am far from being good with a sedan, but thought I would post this just in case anybody is curious.

Shouldn't be, are you sure you have a working version of Adobe Reader? It might take a couple seconds to load the text I added...

Im using an android. On another note, is there a differnce in the fan mount for the D05 and the D06. I cant seem to get the R1fan mounted behind the mount. If I do it rest on top of the center hingenpin block . Mounted in front it almost touches the motor.

I finally got my D06 on the track for the first time yesterday. i ran it on asphalt with so/so traction. i started with kit setup to get a feel for it and it was...ok. it was loose in spots and pushed in spots. then i changed to the aggressive setup that I downloaded from the VBCRacingShop site and the car came alive. it was great. it WAS aggressive but still very driveable. it hugged the sweeper nicely and had smooth rotation. Unfortunately, it was only a practice day and there was no scoring loop active so i couldn't get laptimes to compare with others racers but it was very competitive with the guys i was running with.

the next race isn't for two weeks. that will be my first chance to run it in race conditions. i'll let you know how it goes

You will need to use spacers to push the fan outward so that the fan and mount are more in line with the motor. In addition to this, you may want to file down the two sides of the fan that will screw into the fan mount unless you have longer screws.

If you look very closely at these two photos, you will see how I shaved down the fan, as well as how I pushed the fan outward around the center pulley bearing holder.

I was thinking on Saturday about whether or not you had a chance to run the car and how it worked out for you. I am glad to hear that the setup worked well, I knew it would . We put forth a lot of effort into everything we do and are glad to hear that it is working out for you guys.
