What is the best and quickest way to get out the diffs so I can change the oild in the Losi 8T 2.0? I hope you don't have to tear it all apart, but if so then I guess that's what I'll have to do.

Right, but is there an easy way to get it out of do I need to remove front end and rear end and bumpers, etc. I thought I hear a guy once say it was only like 6 screws and you could get it out.

the rear is 6 screws, 4 in the diff and 2 chassis brace. front is 4 in the case,2 in the chassis brace,2 for the steering rack and 1 for your steering arm.all screws come out of the chassis. just look at it its common sence, its a rc not the space shuttle

It's hard to remember off the top of my head, but 4 screws at the chassis, 1 screw at the chassis for the brace, 2 screws for sway bar, 2 screws for top plate, and 2 screws for the gearbox. I think you have to remove one side of the turnbuckles too.

Other than that, you need to read your manual. And even if you did have to take everything apart it is a good idea to remove most of everything anyways to check slop, wear, and broken parts.

You don't have to take the whole gearbox off the chassis to service it but it's always better to do it that way. You could find something else that needs fixed.
But if you need to just take out the diff in the rear you can just take off the back part of the diff case. On the bottom just take the back 2 screws out and undo the sway bar and the screws on the back of the diff case and the back brace, you should be able to pull the diff out. I know you can dobit cause I've seen a guy do it. The front should be the same but do the front of it. The center, the is no easy way. You have to just take the center part out unless you have the quick mount for it.
To me it's just easier to just take the whole assembly off to get to it.

the diff case has to come completely out. it has the rectangular piece that sits down in the chassis and the case is split in half threw that section. you can undo those 2 screws but it wont let it come out. you need to pull the entire case

im no expert but i definitly have seviced the front and rear diffs without pulling the entire case out. the inner piece of the case was still in the truggy, the screws need to be loosened to get the rectangular part of the case out of the chassis.

i dont recomend doing it this way simply cause it is a half ass way of ¨fixing¨ the issue. lol

Well I would think that would do more harm than good. There is a lip thing around the inside part of the gear box. I'm sure you could wiggle the rear portion out, but you might screw that lip part up. You would have to raise up the gear box at least 3-4mm for the rectangle part to come up. Not to mention the outdrives would prevent this from happening.

This is all in my head though, everytime I service my diffs I take the entire rear off and break it down.

i forgot to mention i had a few words with the gear box, proceeded by a screwdriver breing used as a prybar

I personally pull the whole clip and remove parts as needed, I feel trying to do it in the truck leads to making it more difficult to get everything back together properly and seated.

I forgot about the square on the bottom. I have seen people do it before. But I would still recommend just taking it all the way off. It's just easier and less hassle.

The front assembly can be a chore to get in without taking out the radio tray though.

Lets be thankful its only 4 screws to remove. I dont waste my time trying to thread the bone through. It CAN be done, but its challenging to say the least.
