Default Side Piece Racing

Below is a list of our products. If you have any questions please ask here or PM.

Side Piece Racing presents

SPR-0001 - Mira Outdrives for the TOP Photon Spool

7075 T6 Aluminum outdrives designed to allow the TOP Racing Photon Spool to use XRay Drive Shafts. The primary goal is to enable the XRay ECS Drive Shafts on the Photon, or any other 40 tooth pulley based touring car, such as the Team Associated TC6 or Yokomo BD-5. These new outdrives are designed to support both 52mm and 50mm XRay ECS Drive Shafts.

SPR-0002 - Nikita Outdrives for the XRay T2/T3 Spool

7075 T6 Aluminum outdrives for the XRay Composite Solid Axle spool. These outdrives are beefier than others and are longer to support both 52mm and 50mm XRay ECS Drive Shafts.

SPR-1001 - Seis Fans

These are the smallest, most reliable, high RPM, high CFM fans available! Having a fan on your R/C motor is key in 'blinky' brushless stock racing! The Geisha Fans are no longer available - even from the manufacture. The Seis Fan is the best alternative to the Geisha Fan. The Seis Fan is the same size and durability of the Geisha Fan, but only supports upto 6.7 volts of input power.

SPR-2006 - Terry Servo Plug and Pins

Terry Servo Plug and Pins are an alternative to other RC servo plug and pin sets that are either always out of stock, or just too darn expensive. Terry Servo Plug and Pins create a "male" connector suitable for replacing the plugs on servos, esc and fans so that they can be plugged into a receiver.

They're a great fit with the 50mm Xray ECS drive shafts and will accomodate the 52's as well - good design work, light and strong. What difference would one expect to see in handling when using the longer shafts?

The old word belief is that the shorter shafts allow the front end to roll more while the longer shafts keep the front end flatter.

To be honest no one has performed a back to back evaluation of the two styles... but I think I know a few drivers who once they have the time to test both permutations we can report back with a track tested result. <-- Larry you got some work to do, son!

I wish you'd buy some Mira outdrives... but I think your touring car has the wrong colors on it. Maybe you can rock them on a chain and wear them around your neck.

PM me if there is anything in particular that you are looking for.

I put in another modified touring car torture test this weekend. The car setup still needs a ton of work but the Mira Outdrives are totally holding up.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'll be out of town starting next Friday, Feb 18th for one week. Any orders that come in during this time will ship out on Monday, Feb 28th.

I almost forgot -- you have some testing work to do on 50mm vs 52mm ECS shafts. I'm going to drop some in the mail to you this week.
