I tried the serpent from a friend before and its so much fun to drive cause it handles well and has everything that I want. I came from an Xray and its day and nite in steering but I feel the Xray is much more stable and durable, hell its the most durable buggy out there. But its drive line is a bit of a concern. Serpent owners here do have driveline issue also wherein bearings wouldnt last long. You will have to maintain it like how you maintain the pinion bearing of an 808 cause they are designed similarly.

I held back on ordering the serpent because of the radio tray issue but I guess its rectified right now.

I have the 408 now and the feel is very much Xrayish with lots of steering. Very Forgiving and handles very well. Very much responsive to set up changes. Thier parts are quite cheap but mind you fit, finish and quality are top notch. Pretty Good Buggy.

I am in the process of choosing the right buggy for me so I kinda have the new ones except the serpent. I am still waiting on the complete parts with the new radio tray in it. But looking closely at the 811 and 408. They are almost identical in geometry but the 408 wins becuase of innovation. I particularly like the diff and how easy i can swap it.

ive drove them all and Id pick losi or 811 all day long! 811 i feel is faster more stable and the best ive seen yet in ruff.

I'm very surprised I though the 408 would pull more but my observations and current comments are the same. 811s durable and your able to push hard and still stay upright.

I hoping more 408 users will pop in and give a honest assessment on their ride.

Got my 811 last Tuesday and tried it out on Sunday. This buggy handles great! Takes jumps well and has good corner speed.

Excellent choice!!! I've been in hiatus running nitro for more than 3 years and picked up the Serpent 811 with an upgraded radio tray and put in a Novarossi engine in it. I am a happy camper because it ran so well even with my rusty hands behind the wheel. It took a lot of hits and tumbles but kept on ticking.

I drove a Losi for about a year andnits a great buggy but I am faster with the durango. It has all the steering that the Losi did and more but I can hammer the throttle harder and not do doughnuts at every corner. The Losi had to be driven very smooth and the dnx likes being driven harder. The crazy new tech thats in the dnx is way off the chart likethe way the shock towers bolt to alum that boltsto the chassis and not the diff case then theres the ease of diff access and all the tricked out alum goodies everywhere. I havent seen another car come with a 2 piece engine mount system. That's always an aftermarket upgrade. The throttle linkage is a little tricky but once it's set it's golden. I haven't driven or even seen the serpent car at my local tracks bit my vote is Durango. I just built an E dnx too it sill be interesting to see if it's easier to drive nthe Losi E bug was a handful.

First I heard that, normally most people I know say losi has to be driven on the edge. Of course everyone tries to be smooth while driving though

I don't know Frank, I only got 1 practice day and 1 race day on my DNX and my car rear end is looser than a hooker... Lol

I hope I can get this car to calm down, if not I'm heading to the snake pit :-(

What diff oils are you using. The rear was loose when I ran heavy oils.

It's loose mid to exit cornering on power. Im also running 37.5 front and 32.5 real (losi oil) with 1.3x6 pistions
