Default Palm Desert RC Raceway

http://www.palmdesertrcraceway.com/

Go to the Track Build section to see pictures of the current track.

The track is built for stock Slash's, Slash 4X4, 1/10 electric trucks and 1/8 4wd nitro buggies/trucks. For example, in the rhythm section Slash's can double double single, while the 8th scale can triple double.

We are getting the water turned on Monday but since the moisture dried out of the dirt we had to put the track build on hold for a few days. The track will be very hardpack once completed.

The official address is 72440 Painters Path, Palm Desert CA, 92260, but since that is not on any map sites, search for Painters Path.

We will have the skip-loader out at the track Friday and Saturday to hopefully finish off the track.

Water service was turned on Monday.

We finished the track yesterday, so we are going to lay down the 3" black flex pipe on Monday and in a week we are going to spray a chemical dirt compactor to make the surface hard where the viberate plate doesn't.

After some delays, we are going to stake down the piping Saturday. We ran short by about 300 feet (got 1,200' in the track now). The track is really starting to come along!

The track will be privately open (city won't allow us to legally open to the public yet) on Saturday March 13th from 10-6 and Sunday the 14th from 12-6. It will be a $5 donation to practice for the day. There is electricity and water. Bring your own pit tables!!! Track is great for both short course and 8th scale. Pictures coming soon.

Palm Desert RC Raceway will be OPEN on Saturday, March 20th, but CLOSED on Sunday, March 21st for the RCX Show.

Sorry for the inconvience.

I put a video up on the website to show the current track layout. The track is extremely high bite and any tire will work. You can even run balds, that is what tires I used for the video. Since the track is ran dry you will want a harder compound tire, Soft's work good but you traction roll alot and there will be alot of tire wear.

Scroll down to see the video.

I have been working on getting the track since June from the city, but by the time I got the track in February the schedule was already finalized. We are looking at getting a RC PRO or The Dirt race at the track soon to get the track back on the map.

Eventually, once we are offically open to the public. That will take approx 1 month depending how fast the city reacts. We will be open every Saturday and Sunday, except this Sunday.
