The Super soft donuts that are similar to the premounts/pre assembled are the #84095.
Don't be confused by the letter C as it also appears on other tags.
The HBR soft rears are more firm than these.
The fronts are HBR Medium, premounts or the donuts.
So, the medium fronts and the super soft rears are the winning combo for everything I run on, carpet and asphalt.
Just sauce the fronts as necessary.
1/4, 1/2... or no sauce on the front all!

Good grip on the rear, too good. PUSH bigtime at high speed but seem perfect at about 1/2 speed.
NOTHING would get these to steer at speed.
I even cut apart the fronts (around the sidewalls) and put softer foam inside.
This helped a lot but still not good enough.
Bought Rides and problem solved.
Wanna buy my Superions with the softer insert installed?
Like new!
Only about 10 minutes total run time on em, had to at least give em a chance to break in some before giving up on em.

The Super soft compound, like the premounts and the 84095 is MUCH softer than the HBR Soft and of course the HBR Mediums.
Again, the 84095 is money $$$$$

The pre assembled rears = the Super soft that used to be around.

I would think that the premounts are just a tire that Tamiya already has, but I'm not sure. Maybe they are both mediums, since the soft HBR I have run act nothing like the premount rears-softs have a weird, sudden break away on carpet. At the same time, the HBR medium rears I have tried always seem too stiff Maybe they are RM "kit" tires? The fronts do seem close to HBR medium fronts.

anyone know where I can get the rear gearbox for the 15th anniversary car?? also known as the F103GT gear box? part number 51243
I went thru all my 'usual' people overseas (stella hobbies, rcmart, rc-model, rc market, and percisionrc) and plain outta luck...even Tamiyausa and tower don't have the part in stock...even ebay don't have the part listed
anyone else have an idea?

Not sure.
I know that f103 with the rubber trg tires that ran last Sat. (that guy was super fast!) had f104 l/r rear pod plates on it. So I would think you can get away with them. I am running the 3racing rear pod (side and rear wing plates) in my 103.
I might be going back to the plastic stuff (just keeping the motor plate) to save some weight.
On a side note... My car is still tweaked and hooking bad! I tried to run a few practice laps last week and could not make a lap without it spinning out.
Going to replace the t-plate this week.Hope it fixes things.
