How would this make you feel?
Lets say you were at a big race and a team driver asked you to marshal for him at 5am, and in turn he would give you a set of tires. So you marshal for him, then he doesnt honor his word and avoids you the next day.
How would that make you feel. What would you do?

Is this hypothetical or did it really happen to you?
Maybe he just got busy and forgot. I would make contact with him and politely remind him. Surely he didn't intentionally mean to decieve you.
At least I hope not.

I would email him and ask him. He may have forgotten all about it. You know when your at a race you get busy..

If that was the deal and he forgot then he did not really appreciate what you did. That would tell you something about his character.
Blow it off and move on

It's a shame when people need to be reminded of their own promises and obligations. Wasn't it an old proverb or something saying "I don't have to remember what is owed to me, the man who owes to me does"?

smack him with the skinny part of a fishing pole...that'll remind him

HAHA, those "suggetions" are hilarious!!
Mine is to be a tattle tale and call the team manager for whoever he races for and let him know that one of his drivers is making the company look bad.
I bet the manager gives you tires, motors, and whatever else he has layin around just to keep their name clean.
What company was the driver sponsored by?
WTF were you guys doing driving/marshalling anyone at 5am????
I LOVE driving my R/C but not enough to be at the track that early!

It'll be more fun guessing.
I'd grab my dikes and snip his right rear shock spring before the main when he isnt looking.
