Personally, I race my motors so often I just seal them up in a ziplock bag and squeeze out as much air in the bag as I can and done.

However, mineral oil is pretty cheap and can be found at the local hardware store.

As for the WD40 and the red dot; I'd crack open the back plate (make sure that the piston is NOT Bottom Dead Center) and take a look.

More than likely if you didn't soak or let it sit for more than a few mins you should be fine but otherwise I would take a look.

As for these motors go, I must say they have some nuts to them. During my break-in tanks 1/4 throttle blups my buggy was almost lifting the front end.

Lasty, I've been informed by a well known tuner that pairing this motor with an Ofna 063 (typo caught by Jaz) would be like bread and butter.

Enjoy the rip!

You are 50% correct Jaz

Ofna 063 pipe set is what I've told.

I'll have to try that one, as it is not as popular as the Ofna 053 and 086..I would guess since the 063 is Mid-top range, it would combine the best of both pipes..thanks for the heads up

Jaz,

I have tried the 053 and 086 on the Siims motor with a 7.5 mm venturi and like the pipes are designed the 053 has the grunt and then feels like it shifts into 2nd gear when it finally winds out after 50ft.

The 086 doesn't have that feeling of a 2nd gear per-say however its smooth all-around with what feels like and endless top end.

I'm actually saving for other toys at the moment so I won't be able to try the 063 pipe set and I'm also not too thrilled that Dyna hasn't tried to copy it with their typical hard anodizing and reinforced stinger. It would be a treat if they did I must say, Kudos for Dyna and their kick butt pipe sets.

I have not tried the 063 yet but it should be a good compromise between the 053 and the 086. I will hopefully make it to the Pit for the nitrocross race.
