running a cold plug for me is my engines last a long time and are easer to tune. with hot plugs the engines run hotter around 260-280 with it not running lean.
bought a ninja before we started racing this year and i'm running a cold plug in it and it has 4 gallons on it and it still tight. my $.25 worth.

I like A5's (med-cold, like an MC-8) and either 086 or Jp2 pipe. I didn't like the #8 as much with 30%, wasn't crisp on top.

Plug temp and shimming are how you change the timing on your engine. Not so much about more or less power but where the power's delivered. Both the A3 and A5 will work in that engine, the stock shimming is fine for 30%. Try both and see which works best for you.

i'd use one shim for 20% fuel and 2 for 30%. never had a problem with it.

2 shims has less compression than one shim.
