Best pipe for a .21 Sportwerks V2?

I know for a fact the Jammin JP-2 pipe is no good for this engine! It gives you no bottom end!!!
I'm running the .21 V2 with a Jammin JP-3 pipe now, 7.5-carb insert & just before this past weekend I slapped on a Novarossi Plus 21-5K head... I'm getting 7.5-mins of run time but I can push it to 8-mins. With the NR head it dropped the temp 30* & I had to lean both the high & low end needles 3-hours.... After my 30-min main it came off the track at 206* with mad power all around!!! WooHoo...

I never tried the JP-4 but with it being a mid to top end pipe, kinda like the JP-2 I'd say no!
JP-1 tuned pipe is designed to give excellent bottom end performance without sacraficing too much top end performance. This pipe is awesome for motors that do not have a lot of bottom end, such as the RB Concepts WS7 and WS7II and the Werks Collari 7 port.
JP-2 tuned pipe is designed to give more top end performance than the JP-1 pipe, so is good for motors that already have a lot of bottom end grunt and for racing on larger tracks.
JP-3 tuned pipe is a 3-chamber design with all round performance, very similar to both the JP-1 & JP-2 pipes combined.
JP-4 tuned pipe is designed specifically for 1/8 off-road racing and it’s designed to improve mid-range to top-end speed without sacrificing bottom-end punch.

The Sportwerks .21 V2 is a (SH) base engine, the same as a Novarossi engine. I have the .21-5K Plus head on mine but I'm sure any Nova head will fit...
I kinda knew it would drop the engine temps because it's a thiner/lighter alum head but I had no idea it would drop the temps 30* & I would have to lean out both low & high end needles 3-hours..!!!

I have no doubt about the Sportwerks .21 V2.... I use it in my Buggy or Truggy at any type of races. Best engine I ever had for the money & then some by far!!!

I was just tinkering out in the garage and found that most any Head designed for the OS V-Spec will also fit on the factory sportwerks 21v2 motor button. I tested both an original V-Spec head and also an Odonell head that I have for a V-Spec. Both bolted right on. I'm going to tune it to the Odonell head tomorrow at the track and see how it does. I've also switched from the 6.5 to the 7.5 insert. With the 6.5 the tune just seems to finicky.

Thats cool to hear the O.S. head fits. I know some parts on the Vspec are not compatible with most engines.
Yeah a good set-up for the Sportwerks .21 V2 is; (7.5 carb insert & JP-3 pipe). 8-min run time & great all around power!

I just got a Novarossi P5 head for my V2 and gonna get an 053 pipe for it soon, cant wait to get that combo on my new D8 for some practice...
Wish you could still get these new! Noone carries them any more!
I was to to get a GRP but who has money like that to blow? I have heard the OS Speed engines are great to, but even more money...
Maybe I will just need a new piston and sleve for the old monster and keep it alive...

i have a v2 i ran this winter indoors with a jp-3. it did not have enough top end for our big outdoor tracks, so i put it away for the summer. i got it out the other day just to tune up so i would have a back-up for pro finals in texas. i no longer have the jp-3, so i put on a team assoc. 2035. what a difference!! this motor now has as much bottom as my nova and almost as much top and getting over 11 min. run time!! not bad for a back-up.

yes nitroal the 2035 is the best pipe to have for this engine IMO. I to can get over 10 mins on my v2 with the 2035
