I'm going to ask a really dumb question...

You did back the setscrew out of the opposite out-drive didn't you?

check the bearings that going inside. each diff will have one 5x9x3 and one 5x9x2.5. if you rebuilt both diffs at the same time, theres a chance you put the 3mm wide bearings together in one diff, and the 2.5's in the other. in this case, the diff with the wider bearings will squash the bearings together before applying much compression on the rings. double check. i believe the 2.5mm wide bearings are without shields.

also, in the same vein, make sure each diff has only one bearing spacer between them.

Guys.........any idea where to get the U3169 Ti pivot pin 55mm x4 from? On the manuel it listed as option...I know Mi2EC has that option (purple shaft) but what happened on Mi3? Does ppl cut the Mi2EC and insert that without the 2.5mm screws at both end..? Please advise... thanks.

I got to run on a super low grip asphalt track today and the car worked awesome. So far I've run on low, medium and high grip asphalt with the same setup and the car rocks. The only change I tried today was lowering the rear diff and it made the little difference that was all the car needed.

Both awesome service.

====

Solara I was thinking more 10.5 - 5cell. No way I would run 5cell 13.5 around here. You would get smoked. Rich and I both have good setups that a different from each other. Just copy one of those.

====

I'm running a setup pretty close to the one posted for Jonas_Viskafors and it works well with 13.5 and the Core Lipo. Honestly if anyone is going to Novak and their car is a tad loose I wouldn't worry too much. That will probably work well as traction goes up.

That spectrum mini receiver must be REALLY small....can barely see that on your 1st pic.
yes its hard to see here is how i had it wired for the lrp

If you wanna try somthing other than the schui thrust I might suggest this Losi thust bearing.

http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr.../LOSA3098.html

I have one in both of the diffs in my foam carpet car and they have held up for the last three months. Diff still feels brand new. My LHS doesn't carry Schui parts and I was in a crunch for a new thrust a while ago. An xray owner suggested it to me. I do have to say there aint many if any thrusts better than the carbide schumacher thrust U1954. SMooooooo0th!

Dont use the washers that some with the Losi thrust though. Just use the original Schumacher washers.

Odd you say the Xray thrust doesn't work. Theres a driver at our track that I know is using the uuber expensive Xray thrust in his Mi3.

the xray, corally, and Mi3 thrusts are all the same size, or at least are interchangeable in my experience. The washers may not be however.

What is the difference between mounting the steering links to the hole on the steering knuckle that is further foward instead of the kit position?

Thanks
