That is wierd that it was tweaking. That track is completely different kind of asphalt to figure out a good setup. Super high bite. My car ran super flat. I decided to go to Mimi's to run the 1/12th on carpet again. 2 weeks to the regionals. I wish I had the extra cash for batteries for the Mi3.

i've been told they've been shipped, so we should have them in stock and ready to ship early next week.
And for the spur we've had them for about a month or 2

any pics of the new bulk heads?

The car does seem to handle well, and clipping the corner markers does less to upset the car now.
One of the UK Mod drivers has commented on the fact his laptimes got better with the 2.5mm chassis (this happened to be rubber/carpet but I believe it still applies). He was running a standard chassis and the 2.5mm back to back.
The thicker chassis was simply faster.

How about On Rubber/Carpet? Have you Tried Lower Shock Towers on Carpet with and with out 2.5 Chassis??
Does it necessary to go for 2.5 Chassis On Rubber/Carpet??
Last one How much are the Lower Shock Towers in UK

Ran rubber tire carpet last night on the old hook and loop style carpet and man what a blast it was. Ran my asphalt setup I had on from the Region 2 asphalt Regionals from back in August. Car was pretty loose at first but after 2 runs the car came in great with CS 27's on the car. All I did from my asphalt setup was to take off the rear swaybar, added one more shim to take my toe in from 2 degree to 2 1/2 a side in the rear and I add orings to my toplate to give the car more flex and the car was really nice to drive overall.
It was very tought running against lipo's and brushless motors with my stock motors and IB packs but managed to TQ and take the win. My laptimes where very consistant and did run the fastest lap of the night but being smooth. Another thing that was tough is they run 6 minute heats and mains. Never done that before but it was cool.
All in all great day for my Schumacher MI3 as it was the only one at that track so maybe we can get a few more rolling up at Altoona Raceway.

Arguably it isn't necessary to get any of this stuff but I felt it did help the car on asphalt that didn't have much grip, so I would have thought it would be even better on carpet.
The feeling from a couple of the guys (far more experienced decent National drivers..unlike me) was that changes to the suspension were not having any effect on the handling problems they were trying to solve no matter what they did (this was on carpet/rubber), they put this down to the possibility that the 2mm chassis with all the holes etc 'might' be a bit too soft so grip was being gained through chassis flex, not suspension movement.
In case your wondering, I will be buying another 2.5mm chassis for my brushed car (I still use the standard top decks at the moment).
The lower towers are £8.50 before VAT.
If you think any of these bits might help you, try the shock towers first as they are far cheaper than the 2.5mm chassis
