Yeah guys that was me getting lapped by Jun (suprise!) Actually I think he would slow down and school me almost every lap that day. Oh well

Yeah I got another Tevo just for Brushless and TA monkey work. My stock racing Evo3 is just too much fun and I don't wanna mess up a good thing. So I got another and will be mothballing the M2 and using it for Enduro haha.

Oh yeah, Corvin, thanks for taking the picture. It was the only one I have of my Calsonic car so I used it. Mad props to your photographic abilities. It came out well!

hey guys, well just had my first race, car was great, i was not.
very tight tenical track on asphut ,in practice when the track was still cold i was passing mods in the infield, they would pass me down the back straight, then i'd get back in front by the time we came back around. i'm running a johnson 540 by the way, we all do for open stock.
first heat was abouted due to power out on the computer.
second heat i never finished due to getting knocked off and into a real cars wheel and a ball cap came off, battery came loose and the marshall put me back out and then wham side on from another car and out my battery came onto the other side of the track.(damn tape)
third heat, had to go home (not racing for points anyway as i'm moving city soon)
bottom line, i had heaps of fun and this car carries speed very very well, i'm still having a bit of hard time trying to get the car not to push out of corners.
i got the spinning out under brakes problem sorted with my new Novak GT7, and loosing the diff. soon to try my front diff, almost got all the parts for it.
could someone please tell me why there is 2 "rebound stokes" on the setup sheet, and how to measure these? thanx
also when measuring the shock lengh do you do it on the car or off ?
oh yeah ,the mods i was practicing with were Xrays.
my gearing was way off for this track( i was expecting a different track in a different building on concrete.
i qualified 2nd on the grid but would have come 4th or 5th i think if i had finished.

would any of you know where to find pictures of the TRF team cars (EVO III's, 414m, etc...) or setups?

tried searching all over the net and to me they are the hardest to find info on.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

i can send you a pic of my car, but sadly it is not very impressive, and i imagine that it would look the same as yours.

what kind of setups you need?

Thanks, Peter_Robinson

need a carpet setup for the Evo III. guess i can go with the kit settings but seeing most of you here have experience. might as well start with the people on this forum.

will be using the set of tires that came with the kit.

hey lee,
i'm running kyosho belted 35v and 30 inserts.
20% min brake on the GT7
if i full brake from full speed it loose rear traction, but it is no longer a problem at all. i can use it now to flick round a corner if i end up on the inside. i try not to use brake, i meen i have 20% drag brake and i use that.
i loosened the diff until it slipped then tighten it up a little.
hope i helped, if it doesn't, i could post my setup for you.
could you tell me how to measure the two differnt reboud stokes?
thanx

Garry, I won't be out there this coming Sunday because I'll be at the TCS race in PA. Are you gonna come down for the East Coast Shootout in April? Anyways, I like the car. Just need to get a fix for the front diff stripping. I hope some of the tips here work out. That or find the aftermarket gears to run in the car. Won't be too long before my new Yok shows up!

Jimmy,
Good luck at the TCS. I'm still not sure bout April but trying to work it into my schedule. You've had problems with your oneway gears? Did you try the mod posted here?

Does the World Champion Front Stabilizer for the 414 work on the EVO3? If so has anyone tried it?

I have been running the Worlds front sway-bar for a couple of weeks now. It is not a direct swap, but it will work. You will need to make some spacers in place of the graphite piece that comes with the kit. (kit is too wide)

My car is set-up a bit on the nervous side...this mod. helped calm it down.

I'll try to post some pics later.
