i've found the h.12 doesn't have the torque of the o.s.in std form. i had one of these engines in an fw05rr and found they are a little lacking down low. i have just got into it with the dremel so i will let you know how it goes when i give it a run

Got my car today checked it over and took it down the track for a run and half a lap later the reciever pack went flat (BUGGER!!) engine sounds good though. What is a good rear diff oil to run first off as I am new to Nitro I think the kit is 30000 should I start there and it has a front oneway.

I used ofna 30,000 diff oil and it seems to be a good starting point for my local track.

Had another run with my car yesterday (with a full receiver pack this time) and it is a nice car to drive was a bit taily at first but i increased the toe in at the rear and changed shock oil to 35wt and that seemed to help.Still running motor in so I cant wait to race this weekend.

I ran my GPX-4 again today and am having motor issues I run a Nosram Vtec .12 I set the main and mid to their factory settings and to start with the car runs like a rocket for about three to four laps and then it seems to off tune itself sounding horrid and sometimes it stalls engine temp gets up to about 90-100C and it practically new.

Yes I did I ran 4 to 5 tanks I ran the main at 5 turn and the mid at 6 turns and putted around my home track not going over half throttle and not going over 90C in temp I am racing tomorrow so I have changed the fuel line and cleaned the carb and changed the exhaust gasket and see if that helps!

i second this. OS works even if your setting is bad. Anyway, heres my break in process maybe this could help you...

run 3 tanks on engine hanged no throttle (must be on the neutral setting)
rest
set the full throttle opening to only 25% and run 5 tanks around the track
rest
set the full throttle opening to only 50% and run another 5 tanks around the track
rest
set the full throttle opening to 100% and run 3-5 tanks
after this you can start adjusting the high speed needle to lean. Be careful in setting too.
