Looks great. Have always loved Schumacher but just shelved my KR to move to a mid motor car (B6D) since I wasn't a fan of the KF given our surface is dirt. Now the KD is here I'll be looking at this. 👍

Another nice feature of this car that will be quite useful is the adjustable wheelbase. Very large adjustments will be possible. The new front arms are designed to be "flippable" and they also accommodate what looks to be a 1.5mm spacer between the arm and the caster block.

The rear arms are also "flippable". The KD is actually using them in what would be a reverse position for the KF2. So you'll be able to flip them back and/or move the rear hub carrier a total 4.8mm using the two spacers.

That is a lot of movement and should help tune for different grip levels by manipulating the weight bias / transfer.

Somebody a few posts back mentioned they maybe didn't like the new shock caps.

I think they are really nice if for only one reason. You will be able to change shock positions on the tower much faster. Before you had to pull the retaining nut, remove the plastic spacer washer and mount, then you had to remove the post. Now you just move the ball stud. Easy.

I am assuming the caps are molded so if things get loose after awhile just replace them as a consumable. Before you could only get the plastic mount pieces in U3937, which had things you didn't even need (spring retainers) so the price should be roughly equivalent.

Remember when we debated if a mid motor 2wd would ever be good enough to really be competitive on anything but carpet? It was like, 3-1/2 years ago. How things change...
Everybody laughed at me at my local track when I ran for schuey years ago, and came running the cougar MM And they were like hahah that wont work. Now Look when I come back, Every buggy and truggy is MM even SCT are MM. its funny

Ha, I did the same half way through last year, but to a 22 3.0. Took hundreds of dollars in hop ups to go as fast as a box stock KR. Before I bought the TLR, I got a KF but it was just so bad on loose surfaces. The KD is an important car for the brand.

I have been running my SC6 in MIdmotor on low bite outdoor tracks for years as well. actually felt like I was cheating as the truck is so much faster than the RM SCT's thus again on low bite dirt.

Schumacher website says "February". Not sure if that means Feb 1 or Feb 28 or somewhere in between.

I feel this car will work very well not just on dirt, but also on astro.
This is an important that they have finally filled. The KF will be for the carpets.

KF on carpet still has a lot of drag for 17.5. It's a beast in mod but in 17.5 the B6, YZ2, and XB2 are dominating. It would be nice to see a lay down conversion for this car.

Kf2 setup correctly should be less drag than anything else. Maybe you meant too heavy?
