I see ST truck dying off, i'm just going to convert my T5M over most likely. Sucks but ST just doesn't seem to be catching on here.
Stadium Truck is huge here (Northern California). Most club nights we run two heats of 13.5 and one open. In 13.5, the T5m has completely taken over, theres 2 guys with rb6's one with a 22 and the rest are the t5m.

Im super pumped for the sc5m, im hoping to get back into SC

Jealous of that ST turn out, must be a lot of fun to watch. So all of us with killer set ups on our T5M's, what do you really think we will really have to focus on right off the bat?

Heavy bodies and lot's of roll. It'll be a big change to the camber link setup from the T5M. 13.5 is no fun in SC class either, I run a 7.5 turn for SC and dial it down as needed. With the large heavy bodies and high center of gravity a lot of guys will run brick or saddle packs to help lower the CG for mod.

I use to run a shorty pack in my SC10.2 but when the track had some big hairy jumps the body turned into a parachute so I went to a heavier stick pack to keep the front in check off the jumps. Most SC bodies now have a LOT of cutouts to take advantage of to help reduce parachuting. Fortunately with the mid motor more weight will naturally be upfront so shorty might still work out. I plan on running inline like on my T5m with a shorty running length of chassis and electronics at the waterfall.

Personally not a big fan of SC but it's such a big class in Vegas you gotta run it or you're on the sideline most of the night waiting for buggy class.

I noticed that in the 10.2 if I had the stick it just seems to go through the corners a bit easier. But the Sc5m can't except the stick so I will be looking for a good brick lipo since I'm going to run a 10.5. And I also wish St would stay, that's what I grew up on. I still have my T2 and the my favorite was the Losi Matt Francis edition.

It's amazing how much the body affects the truck. Try running an SC without the body, super nimble and responsive. Throw the body on and it's back to circa 1972 Cadillac handling.

Just ordered mine. Excited. I think 13.5 is plenty in a 2wd SCT. That's the stock class at my local track and its gained quite a bit of traction with racers here. ST is also a stock 13.5 which makes them a little quicker but I find its how you gear the SCT. I can easily keep up with STs with my 2wd truck.

This has probably been discussed. But will the Sc5m hex bee the same as the sc10.2? So my old wheels like the hazards or De racing will still work? I'm asking also because when looking on Amain I see to different sized clamping hexes 8.5 and 7.5.

Wheels are the same...You are looking at offsets on amain. They are a 12mm hex but there are different offsets available for tuning.

The clamping hexes you'll want are the 6mm front and 8.5mm rear for stock settings.

I appreciate the feedback from all. I will be running a 10.5 motor on a med size indoor dirt/clay. The tracking is not very good. Do you guys still recommend the 8.5 rear and 6.5 front?
