The advantage will be tread pattern selection. Tire manufactures are already producing patterns that you can only get in 2.4. None of the big players are accommodating to the 14 mm wheel hexes either in the 2.4 style and I don't expect to ever see it happen. Durango ran the odd sizes for quite a few years and none the big three tire vendors catered to it.

well kinda. not all closed cell is the same. most everyone locally uses AKA red, even if the tires come with proline blue or dirt techs from JC. I would prefer cheaper tires with no foam and pick my own.

I'm trying electrons with blue foams right now. I'm use to buying the red aka foams and Jconcepts tires, but the prolines with the blue foams are pretty nice. Although I heard the blue foams will break down fastest than the red aka foams. Guess time will tell.

I just mounted up a set of Evo chainlinks on stock x-ray wheels using the aka adapter kit. Very cool.

IMO, I would have a set of rear 12mm hexes just to try other rear you have for tuning.

The zero offset 12mm hexes are not for B5/KYO offset rims, the axle barely has enough threads. They will work with 22 style perfectly though. The +1.5 is real close to stock and the +2.25 is a touch wider with B5/KYO style rims.

GSHobby has 1 or 2 center diffs in stock for the guys looking. Call 479-648-1994 I don't think they are on their website.

So after only 3 days of running my car I've noticed that the driveshaft pins show considerable wear. I've read that they do wear fast but I didn't expect it to be this fast. How often are you guys replacing the pins? Or rather, at what point should I replace the pins? I understand its cheaper to replace pins than outdrives but only after 3 days of running seems excessive to me. Are there any ways to prolong the life of the pins?
