Ok, now my car is almost ready.
I bought "Enneti" foam tyres.
now ESC and motor.
for the moment I think i start with a brushed 17t motor and 24tooth pinion.
The idea is to go brushless, with 17.5t turnigy trackstar motor, sensored. Would a 45/60A Esc be enough ? (24T pinion with 99T gear)

Gearing wise I am assuming you are using 64P but either way I think you'll be under-geared with 24/99. Personally I'd aim for something like 24/78 but you'd need to use 48P. If you are set on using a 99T Spur you'll need something like a 31T pinion, but this is all depending on the layout of your track

60A should be ample for a 17.5T. ESC's like the HW Extreme Stock etc are rated at 60A.

I have a 99T- so yes, I'll go with that 31t pinion.
Will let you all know how it will go, thanks

Hi all, I am thinking about selling my F109 and buy A tamiya F104 (#58475) plastic base (not Pro).
is the F104 base plastic (not pro) a better handling car than the 3racing F109 ?

it's 180mm for the f104 vs 200mm for the f109, cannot be comparable. 200mm will always have a great advantage
but the 104 is handling well with a good preparation

Even F109 with narrow F104 Front end and tires handles excelent.

I run schimizu, but - yes. This summer I race my F109 with 21,5T Zero against F104v2 with 17,5 zero and the other guy admited that he had no chance to overtake me anywhere else than main straight. When he was in front of me, I can easily stay on his six till the straight.

Personally I am going to try some of the V2 Sweeps next meeting, just to see if they are better than the V1s and to see if I can find a combo that works on the particular surface we have

My 109 has a broken Body shell.. now I need to buy it but no one selling it around my place.
So, can I use an FGX body shell ? or better to look for a F103 body ? Don't know which one can be a direct fit

hi all
I just put in a 13.5T LRP Motor, I have the 64dp original gear (mabye 99Teeth?)
What pinion I could use now ? about 24 teeth ?

Sorted my F109, finally !
I got the original F109 rear spoiler.
I put a Savox SC1251Mg in the steering.
Put a combo LRP 13.5T (22 pinion) with SPX Zero LRP ESc.
Now it's really great, perfect in the steering, fast and powerful.
I can finally say that I am very very happy
Still a bit of side play in the front wheels, have to study it to know why, but I can say I am really happy.
