We're growing near guys. I've been testing over the weekend to assure it's all working. So far RS/RS Pro is dialed!

I can't totally agree with you guys, USB connection is obviously not the easiest way to connect a smartphone... You'll need a master port and a software support from the OS... Maybe Bluetooth or P2P Wifi would have been a better way, but a little bit more expensive as you need a small adapter...

bluetooth has been addressed. i dont think it will ever be allowed due to people cheating and changing their trucks on the fly. any wireless connectivity will allow people to cheat too easily. most people in this hobby are honest, but i have witnessed more than one person cheating.

Are more recent android devices going to gain support or is there going to be a big gap where older ones are fine, current ones are no good and future ones will be fine?

We've mentioned it more that one time. The AOS issues with 4.2 or higher not connection is an AOS issue, not a Hotwire app issue.

The Beta test team is testing the Gen1 supported app and has shown no issues so far. So look for the update on the Play Store soon.

I think I can independently confirm no go on Android 4.4

Sprint put out the 4.4.2 update for HTC One so I got an OTG cable to try. I get the "Android 4.2/4.3 has disabled the hotwire"

but I was hopeful because when I plugged in the hotwire it asked if I wanted to connect to this USB device. My phone powers the hotwire and powers my RS Gen 2 when I plug it in (lights flash) but it won't read or apply settings to the ESC. bummer.

crap.... hopefully its just a software item where it looks at the os version and if its greater than or equal to 4.2 it just says its disabled.... ive been looking at 4.4 tablets trying to convince myself i need one....

Yeah my S4 does the same thing. I've ran rooted roms, etc trying to work around it. Clearly the phone and AOS sees the hotwire because it launches the app when plugged in! LOL

We're working on this issue diligently guys....stay tuned.
