Not a typo and it is only 10.5 deg of additional timing on how the RX8 works in D2 mode. Not really needed but does give a little extra power.

Curious what you changed the 'end rpm' too on the rx8? I' messed with timing on my old pro4 4000 the other day and bumped the timing up to 20 but didn't notice a difference until I upped the end rpm

I have a couple of questions about the new setup. First it says 1 degree of front toe in. I always thought it was a no no to put toe in on a 4x4. Then how do you space rear hexes out .5 mm? Do you use a shim or just loosen the screw and space the hex out and then retighten it? And what is the note about leaving witness marks on the arms and steering links.

Thanks

Kyosho makes various shims. I used a .2 and a .3 to get the .5 with the same inside diameter as the axle and it works perfect.

I heard Ryan's explanation on the toe in, but would love to hear it again. It "just seems to work," though.

If the wheel hits the steering link or the front of the arm it will leave a "mark" on the part where it rubs. This is a "witness mark" Remove a slight bit of material where you see one of these marks to allow for the wheel not to rub anymore.

Just switched out servos tonight. Went from a hitec 7954sh to a hitec 7940th
The 7954 had 333 oz of torque and the speed was 0.15
The 7940 has 181 oz of torque and the speed is 0.07

What kind of difference can I expect to see? Will I physically notice the speed difference? Will I gain more steering just from the faster reaction time?

You will definitely notice the speed change. You won't necessarily gain more steering per say but the minute corrections you need to make to correct your line will be easier to make. For an old fart like me who is just a tick too slow to begin with the faster servo is a must. 0.15 is too slow for me to race with

EDIT: Thought I was in the 22 thread replying to servo speed. Not relevant to TEN-SCTE! Deleting response..

anyone know if the TLR230000 body will fit on the 2.0?
I imagine it does....

Not wanting to paint a body, just want to buy it already done.
Are their holes in the body already?

Yeah, it fits. I use it as a practice body. We took the holes out of it so you can use it for both cars.

Default Titanium Screw Kit

Hey Guys, this is not a sales thing, just more of an fyi in case you had ever wanted to try them...we have discontinued the titanium screw kit and are blowing them out. You will see the whole kit, part number TLR4003, on Horizonhobby.com for 44.99 now.

Does anybody have any experience using the Orion R10 160amp 2-3s ESC with a 4 pole motor (Tekin Pro4 4600 specifically)? Debating on whether or not to use this ESC or go with the Tekin RX8 Gen2 for my SCTE 2.0. Any feedback is much appreciated.

I have used both and they are both good ESC's. If you are using a 4 pole motor, I would go with the RX8 gen 2 as it handles these motors much better in my opinion.
