Its either from vibration or someting as i havent crashed or anything..

Is it safe to use other capacitors? Like the works team one from LRP? Or do you have to use the big single?
You can use the works team capacitor.

I have the Flow Competition, so it came without a fan. For the hot outdoor days, I'd like to have the option of running one. I'm assuming any 30mm fan will fit? Can someone recommend a good one that will hook up to the open ESC plug and not have to plug into the receiver? I think the LRP SXX fan is only 25mm, so I don't believe that would fit.

does anyone have problem with LRP Flow esc?
I have recently tested 1.4, 4.0 and 5.0 when running 4.5T X20 and X12 motor. I still can't get the motor to work 100% with 4.0 and 5.0. For all the version I tried I think 1.4 still the most stable. What do you guys think?

I just ran my Flow for the first time with a 12 scale car on carpet. I am running a Novak Ballistic 13.5, a 1s LIPO, and a Novak booster. The brakes seemed to be very ineffective.

My trim and sub trim are both set to 0, my brake end point is set at 100, my brake ATL is set at 100, and the Red and Green LEDs light up on the ESC to indicate full brakes.

Has anyone else experienced poor braking with this ESC?

PM Kody to see if he could get you one before the ECC this Saturday.

I did once during a race. I went to turn the ESC on and the throttle and brake settings were whacked out as if the profile was erased. I reset the ESC real quick and adjusted all the profiles back then ran a qualifier. During the qual I noticed my drag brake setting was fine but push break was ineffective. I reset the ESC again and the breaks worked after that. Try resetting it...may work.

I ran my Flow Competition 1.4 blankly as well as 5.0 boosted. No problem with anything, brake included.

Try resetting the ESC and calibrate with your radio again before setting the ESC and see what happens.

I reset the ESC back to the defaults, changed the voltage cutoff option to 3.7v, and then reprogrammed the ESC to my radio. My braking performance is about the same. I get braking action, but it is not very strong, especially when the car is moving slowly. Maybe I am expecting too much from a 1s setup? The braking action I get with my Novak Edge and 2s setup in my F1 and TC is much stronger.

You can't compare 1s vs 2s in low speed braking
2s has much more brakes, 1s braking will be almost useless until there is some motor rpm happening

As you are running a 13.5 12th scale, use of brakes is not common for most drivers

Only in mod 12th are brakes necessary

I agree that I do not use brakes during a race. I only use them when pulling into the pits or trying to avoid an obstacle like a stalled car in my way.

How does this esc compare to the Hobby Wing V2 or Tekin for blinky racing? I love it in my offroad cars and would like to use it for on road but if it isn't as fast then I'll get one of the others.

A couple of guys are running it in our onroad racing and it seems great. I don't think you can go wrong.

I ran the Flow Competition with 17.5 in blinky mode for onroad and it matches the Tekin RS Pro as well as SpeedPassion Reventon Pro (similar to Hobbywing).
I like the programming feature without having to use a computer at the track. I also use a LRP X-12 17.5 so I can check the temp of the ESC as well as the motor afterwards without having to have a temp gun in my pocket to test it as soon as the race is over.

Going to use it in boosted stock 17.5 next race day this Sunday. Will let you know how it goes.
