polished wooden floor? Man that would be like a drifiting session or something. I would suggest you run the car very soft. But im just guessing.

I too have had alot issues with the packs poping out during a race, which is rather frustrating. Is there anyway you could post a pic of your battery slots to ensure that mine look up to par. I have tried a bunch of stuff to fix the issue, but nothing has worked so far and I might need to switch over to tape.

Here is my current car (uses tape). It is how I would usually do the slots though. I take more off the edge that will contact the outer diameter of the cell. I only just "break" the edge that touches the side of the cell so it won't cut the cell's shrink wrap.
Note: the lower you can get the cell, the better off you'll be, but the trade off point is when you start dragging cells.
