Mine missed that part also, I still dont have those installed..lol
What are you missing?

It's all about the track conditions, time of day, where the moon is in orbit around the earth. A million things can change why a tire will work one day, and wont work at all the next. This week is the new layout at OC/RC for the big Stock race they are having this weekend, and no tire is going to work well for at least 2 days, by thursday everything will work just as it had before minute towards 5pm when the track gets a little loose (dry, and blown out in the corners) and you lap times drop a few 10ths of a second. Clay is a fickle thing, can only imagine how loose dirt is (shrug)......

What is the preferred Lipo of choice, shorty or standard stick pack? And what capacity Lipo's give a good balance of light weight and decent runtime, 3800/4200 shorties or 5-6k sticks?
Shorty pack all the way man, at least for clay or other med/high bite tracks. What we found was that a full size pack puts too much weight on the rear axle and the car has too much rear traction. Switching to a shorty run all the way forward really woke the car up, and there is still tons of rear grip. Outdoor season has started, so we'll try the stick pack again and see what works best. Our local outdoor track is 1/8 style and usually pretty loose.

Worn outdrives can definitely be the cause, but running the max amount of droop will do it even with new outdrives.

Looks like shorty pack it is.

How about running MM3 or MM4 for med-high bite indoor clay? More aggressive handling and steering?

That's something we've been meaning to try but haven't gotten to it. With all the rear grip the car has it may work well, but we haven't had much time for testing- more just tweaking on race days.

Ive heard mm4 works on high bite, I had an X car, that was really good on med to high bite, but I haven't tried it, as med with dust is our norm..Mid motors handle quite a bit differently, jump really nice..

Mid dmotor jumps nice, but prepare to lose sterring speed coming into a corner, but the trade off is by then you can trun into anyone selse on the track. Mid motor 2 wheel drive cars need to be driven like they are 4-wheel drive cars because of the increased weight ditribution front to back, and on power steering, time it just right you can overtake a b4.1 on the inside line, mess up, and you push wide.

updates on DEX210. Kyosho Grooved X-Rigns, shocks feel 100 times better without having to upgrade to ti shock shaftfs, and they dont leak. Losi 22 Ball stud washers, using these with 6mm to get rid of all bump stear on the car.

Losi 22 Shock internal limiters. I had problems with the imprecise measurements witha droop screw, using the Losi 22 washers gives me the exact 3mm I need to remove excess droop which caused transmission noise, inside of rear shocks 3mm. Ran this setup today and its better then a B4.1 in super stock, or 8.5 modified, shaved 3 seconds off of my B4.1 times from 6 montha ago. This car RULES!

Would these be the X-rings you used for the shocks?
KYOORG03X - Clear
or
KYOORG03XR - Orange

Thanks
