That box is for the newer Vortex stuff. The ESC you have was based off the KO Propo VFS-1 ESC. I believe their programming module is what is used to program this ESC (
http://www.kopropo.co.jp/sys_en/archives/ics). Actually a very capable ESC but the stock maps are not the greatest. When set up with a linear program it is a very smooth ESC.
