Good avatar!

Get the "LE" version for 1S racing...The older "Pro" version is 2S oriented and costs more. Both versions can be run on either carpet or asphalt with very minor changes.

1) Start with a Tekin RS ESC...For ramped and unramped.
2) There are a few good 13.5/10.5 motors for different setups out there...a good answer also depends on what you intend to run...ramped or unramped?
3) I definitely like my CRC 5600 1S 65C packs. I keep my pack count down so I can try new packs as they hit the market. Maximum of two packs per car works fine (recharging at track).
4) Instead of a voltage booster, use a 220 mah receiver pack to save .05-.1V on your 1S pack at the end of the run when voltage is most important.
