I used to use denatured alcohol religiously but I tried window cleaner and noticed an improvement. I got this advice several times from very experienced racers. They said make sure use window cleaner with amonia. it's the ammonia that seems to make a difference.
spray the whole tire even the pins. it removes the mold release compound and makes them grip better
