Default Slapmaster Diff Thrust Bearing for 16-ball spur gear

Not sure how many have tried CRC's new 16-ball spur gears; but, I really like having one on my LE (and XL). The diff action is smoother with the extra 4 balls.

One problem is that the balls are smaller (3/32") which moves the right hub inward a tad and can affect your ability to correctly adjust the diff nut without bottoming out on the axle's threads.

Brian Bodine of Slapmaster to the rescue...

Brian pointed out to me that his #109 Diff Thrust Bearing (originally made for the 12R5) has a wide enough machined spacer to eliminate any chance of bottoming out. And he's right! So, the problem is solved and I love the smooth action of the extra balls in combination with the Slapmaster.

And Brian even calculated that 16 of the 3/32" balls weigh about half that of having 12 of the 1/8" balls; so, less rotating weight...LOL

Thanks Brian.
