Carpet only.
I take my tweak plates off fairly often; and, did finally strip one of the plastic standoffs. So, I do use the aluminum versions in both 1/2" and 5/8" high.
No noticeable tuning difference between the two standoff sizes. 1/2" ones are lighter. Car is still about 930 grams for the IIC...
