What I meant was that the slot at the bottom of the motor plate for the motor screws does not go back far enough to make mesh between the pinion and spur when using the small pinions you would use for mod. So for some roll outs you have to run a larger spur gear than you might want to. The option motor plate solves that issue.
I really like the stock motor plates and since we run gigantic pinions in every class but mod now getting mesh is not a problem
Now I'd better go check all the emails I sent this morning and see if they were also clear as mud
so really the change allows you to run a smaller 'total' number of teeth (pinion + spur)
