A friend and I had a long discussion about this today and the conclusion that we came to was that all the measurements we are taking without using a set up station or the set up tires are actually way off. The real figures are the ones you get with the station and the set up wheels. The dimensions we use are the ones we take with our little gauges on our set up boards. You may think you have -3 rear camber when measured with tires and wheels and your camber gauge, but when you put the metal set up wheels on and measure again your actual physical measurements are not even close to what you believe you are running. We termed it running measurements which obviously differ greatly from the actual measurements. No one is going to be running with -5 rear camber ( closer to -3 in running measurement) and in turn if you set your camber to -3 with the set up wheels you will really be at -1 or even 0 in your racing measurement making the entire process completely rediculous. I agree with you Big Ed, it's assinine and a complete waste of time.
