The battery/receiver box was designed for a hump back battery (flat backs do not apply). A 1400 - 1600mah battery is sufficient to run multiple tanks. Batteries lose capacity as they age. Sitting unused and undercharged is not good. Many replace the receiver batterys, no matter what, once a year or less.
