I totally understand your thinking. I will say this though, if you can swing it financially first and then even if you break every part you have with you, you will learn more than a whole summer of parking lot racing. Don't get me wrong we enjoy racing everywhere we go including parking lot races, it's just with all the drivers at a race like this you can't help but get more knowledgeable. Not to mention the fact that the lanes are nearly 3 times as wide as you are used to and you will probably break less.
