The Corally car had to use certain style/shape pinion gear. I thought spur gear was just same as kimbrough's generic 64 pitch ones, but I'll double check tonight when I get home. Also, I remember that back in the old days Corally tires were pre-mounted and pre-trued out of the package which was kind of luxurious thing to have haha. Your are right about the pinions. They had a long boss because the motor was centered in the car and the spur gear was way over by the tire. They also made some pinions in 64 pitch with the long boss. I still have packages of tires that have not been removed from their sanitary environment. Gold and Silver were the hardness designations. I loved those cars.
