I'm running this combo right now. Just got it, so I'm learning it. One thing is, you must run endbell timing. If you do not, the esc boost will not kick in. So it will be like you are in blinky mode. My current setup is 0/10/12/3. Endbell timing is 15° with my gearing at 5.56. After a 6 minute run on a track with 16-17 sec lap times and air temp of 80° F, no motor fan... Motor temp was 180° F. I'm still learning what Mode 3 does, but that might be a start for you. If you are scared of the motor temp, try a fan or try 0/10/10/3. Hope this helps. Like I said, I'm still learning this esc.
