it says that Losi 40wt oil is actually 500 CST and that Mugen 450 oil is actually 493 CST. So this would give VP 550 an actual CST rating closer to 500.
So if I need to replace my Mugen 450 and 500 oil do I need VP 550 and 600 oil?
That chart you refferenced was made by me years ago.
I also made the chart on the VP-Pro site. It is just an estimate. If you notice, it says compared to Losi/ASC but Losi 30wt does not equal AE 30wt so that right there tells you the chart is not 100% acurate. But 500 VP oil does = 500 Mugen oil so don't worry about the US standard conversion because there is not one.
