They melt whether you heat them in the oven or soak em in acetone.

Others can be done by either one of these methods but not Tamiya rims.

If you choose to sacrifice the rims just to reuse the tires, acetone will get rid of the glue AND the rim eventually.
I took a chance and did the acetone/paint can trick on a set of F103 rim/foam combo and those rims held up to the acetone.
This was one pair of black rims/tires and one pair of gold rims/tires.

So I guess I won't be buying new rims for the foam season.

Reminder tho, you will destroy the F104 rims for the rubber tires.
I don't know about the F104 rims for foams tho.
