Just my thoughts on the situation. I do not think that they are going to warranty it at all. Reson being, becaue they do not know what the truck went through prior to the switch issues, and in this case would be your word against there and therefore should just be wrote off and move on. Like someone said earlier welcome to the hobby. S**t happens.
