I think you might be right about the added resistance of the connectors. I ran a pair of Thunder Power 65C 2S and was pretty happy with the speed. Then I tried a Blue Lipo 4S 40C and went "wow", now we're talking........ it was a very noticeable difference. But I was still pretty competitive with the pair of 2S Lipos. I think the weight was pretty close between them.
