No difference between the two. Just the spur gear. Put a 50 tooth on it and it will work fine in the truggy. Are you using the 2.0 truggy or the 1.0? If i remember correct the 1.0 used a 48 tooth. But if your using a .21 engine the 50 tooth will be much snappier.
You might have to play with the springs alittle bit with the truggy. I found mine to work best with just using two of the .15 springs i do believe. You can also make these into a front smart diff if you change the spur gear to a front ring gear and put front outdrives on it then its a front smart diff. just incase you didn't know.
