The correct gearing for 21.5 on most tracks requires the gear cover to be left off. With saying that you need to ask yourself "Do the tracks I run at have a clean enough surface to run 64 pitch?"
I would imagine that the overall diameter of the spur and pinion on whatever 48p gears I use to reach my desired fdr would be much greater than whatever 64p gears i use to achieve the same fdr. That leaves me wondering if I would even be able to achieve a proper gear mesh using the 48p gears. What do u think?
